Our Story

Ituse Agro is a Zambian agribusiness redefining how Africa grows food by combining commercial scale, inclusive farming, value addition, and agricultural innovation into one integrated, scalable model. Founded in 2021 and headquartered in Kabwe, Central Province, Zambia, our operations are designed to serve both domestic and regional markets while unlocking the full potential of climate-smart agriculture.

Our Four-Pillar Model

Contract-Based Commercial Farming

We grow crops under production contracts with leading local and international seed companies and agro-processors. Our primary contract crops include wheat, soybeans, and maize seed, which are cultivated using climate-smart practices. 80% of each contracted volume is grown on our own farm to guarantee quality, traceability, and scale.

Integrated Smallholder Farming

20% of the production volume is grown by our network of over 100 smallholder farmers, who receive technical support, inputs, and guaranteed markets. This inclusive supply model ensures scalability and shared growth.

Value-Added Processing

We deliver semi-processed crops cleaned, dried, and packaged to clients, reducing post-harvest losses and maximising supply chain efficiency. Processing enhances product readiness and unlocks premium value for Ituse Agro and its partners.

Agriculture Research & Innovation Hub (ARIH)

Through our 2-hectare research hub, we host global universities and AgTech firms seeking to validate their innovations in African conditions. This positions Ituse Agro at the frontier of agricultural research and climate-smart technology commercialization.

Our model delivers high returns by focusing exclusively on high-value crops and certified seed grown under contract and by semi-processing harvests to increase margins and reduce losses. We create high impact by integrating women and youth smallholder farmers into our production network through inputs, training, and guaranteed offtake. Through our Agriculture Research and Innovation Hub (ARIH), we help shape the future of African farming by facilitating real-world trials of climate-smart technologies, connecting global researchers with local experience.
